Hands-On-Nature - K-2nd grade

The Hands-On-Nature program was developed for grades K-2. This program takes place here at Mobley Nature Center and focuses on the following subjects:

• Mammals, reptiles, and birds
• Adaptations of animals to their environment
• Field observation
• Habitats and local animals

All activities are hands-on and reinforce the South Carolina Curriculum Standards in the area of Inquiry and Life Science. Students will also participate on a nature walk around the nature center, so make sure students dress appropriate for the weather! We can accommodate up to 40 students per visit. The Hands-On-Nature program is offered in the fall and late spring. Call the Education Director at (843) 987-2073 for more information or to sign up for a field trip.
