Port Royal Sound Report Card

This report card was created jointly by the Friends of the Rivers and the LowCountry Institute. Even though important scientific information about the region is still lacking, local municipal and county officials have to respond to request from developers and the public now. That is why some indicators were included even though they lack strong supporting data. Since it is the first one produced for this area, it still has much room for improvement, but its most important purpose is to involve everyone in Beaufort and Jasper counties in conversations about what is needed to protect Port Royal Sound and its rivers.
